change chapter on long drag past end of chapter content
When reading multiple chapters, it is more intuitive to long drag past the chapter end to switch to the next chapter than to drag right.

allow use of user installed fonts
There is currently an undocumented file to edit to use custom TTF's, but it gets overwritten at times and is overly cumbersome to use.

improve support for different canons
As it is now, while reading the Catholic Public Domain Version, continuing reading from Nehemiah brings you to Esther, instead of Tobit... You have to go to the book chooser, tap the upper-right "+" and then choose the deuterocanonical you need.
It would be nice if AndBible would respect the order of books of the canon of the displayed text, like Xiphos does, as of v.4. The book chooser could also display all the books of the specific text in one place, and in the order the text itself shows them (+ the alphabetical option). They could also have a…3 votes -

Improve chapter changing
When I use And-Bible, I regularly accidentally change chapters while attempting to scroll up or down. This is because the chapter change gesture detection is too sensitive; a slight up or down motion with the finger can trigger a chapter change if the motion is not completely vertical. This is the main thing that makes And-Bible difficult to use compared to other apps.
I think the horizontal swipe gesture should work the same as with other Android apps. A partial horizontal swipe should not trigger a chapter change, but should should instead partially scroll the next/previous chapter into view as…

allow the reading of the apocrypha/deuterocanon
You should modify the book selection page to allow for the reading of the Roman Catholic deuterocanon and Eastern Orthodox deuterocanon for translations that have it. The KVJA has the RCC deuterocanon and the WEB has the EO deuterocanon, and both of those translations are provided in this app.

view notes more easily - show as a tooltip when I tap on the pencil icon OR show note for current verse in a split screen window
I am looking for a way to quickly view my notes on verses. One possibility would be to open a small tooltip window when I tap on the pencil icon which marks a verse with a note.
Another (even better?) possibility would be to show (and edit) notes in a second frame / in a split screen window. And automatically show the note of the current verse.

open context menu of verse I tap on, not the topmost verse on the screen
I can enter the context menu of a verse by a long tap on the screen. But unlike the hyperlink behavior I expected, I do not get the menu of the verse I tapped on with my finger, but the menu of the verse currently selected - which is the topmost verse on the screen.
This is not only counter-intuitive but also raises problems how to get to the menu of the last verses of a chapter. Example: In Romans 13 I cannot scroll down any further than verse 11. So how do I make a note for verse 14?
