Re-layout the menus
The menus have got a bit confusing and lack structure.
If anybody has a plan for a better use of the current structures then let me know.

I dont believe real tabs are the way to go (although i dont think that was what this post was asking for). I have grown to like the buttons at the top because they act as both tabs and buttons. So i can cycle through a list of bibles using the button or i can change to the 'tab' by pushing the button. It is less intuitive than the tabs when you are learning. But it is more efficient, saves screen real estate and was a really good idea.

PocketSword's layout is pretty efficient, but I do like the ability you have to turn on and off the strong's numbers without leaving the screen with the text. The current layout does work fairly well. I don't know if I prefer the drop down menu system for selecting the document, but it works. It probably just a preference things though...I just don't care for drop down menus.

What I was really thinking about in my original suggestion was a menu redesign (not tabs) as described here:

Would really prefer the same kind of menu structure as PocketSword. "Bible | Commentary | Dictionary | Bookmarks | More" at the bottom. Search, Book picker and Bible/Commentary picker top. I love the way PocketSword lets you navigate quickly to drill down to Book, Chapter, Verse (with the larger segments on the right side). Its very quick and easy. So, if you could bring in the PocketSword navigtion it would be so sweet :D

You sort of' get this (4 tabs) in the new release. I have added 2 more quick-buttons at the top for quick nav to bible, commentary, dictionary, book.
My original aim was to minimize screen clutter and maximize space for bible text by only having one permanent toolbar at the top, but I think I may have been a bit too minimalistic. PS used to have a bar at the top and bottom.
I see many bibles have auto-vanishing toolbars which might be a good idea.

I definitely agree. Coming from Pocket E-Sword, I find myself pushing a lot more buttons to reach the same information.
I really like the thought of three main TABS, designating the section of the add-bible 'library' you are looking in: 1) Bible 2) Commentary 3) Dictionary
This type of organization makes it much easier to look up the same verse or topic in multiple documents. For example, if I am researching the word, "Christian", I may first look in Smith's Dictionary, but then decide to read more about that word in the ISBE. In Pocket E-Sword, that was 2 clicks. In add-bible, it is 6 clicks PLUS having to retype the word, "Christian".
Let me know what you think...
